Meet our chiropractors

Steven Mitchell, D.C.

Dr. Mitchell was born and raised right here in Tulare. With an intense interest in science and biology since childhood, he knew he was interested in being a doctor of some sort. Since competing as a track athlete in high school and college led to some injuries, he received treatment from a chiropractor, which was his first exposure to this wonderful healing art. Visiting chiropractors while attending college allowed him to see first hand what chiropractic can do for so many people, and convinced him that a career in chiropractic was to be his calling in life.

In 1988, Dr. Mitchell received his Bachelors of Science degree from UC Davis in exercise physiology. He immediately entered chiropractic school at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. In 1992, he received his Doctorate in Chiropractic degree (D.C), while graduating Cum Laude. Following graduation, and after completing extensive National Board requirements, and California State Board examinations, Dr. Mitchell received his license to practice chiropractic in the state of California. After approximately 2 years of work as an associate doctor, Dr. Mitchell opened up Tulare Chiropractic Clinic in 1994, and has been busy helping the people of Tulare County since.

Since graduating from Chiropractic College, Dr. Mitchell has completed extensive post-graduate training in x-ray diagnostics, nutrition, spinal biomechanics, and muscular dysfunction. Dr. Mitchell has also studied numerous techniques and has attended multiple masters’ seminars studying the effects of low speed and high force injuries to the spine typically associated with car accidents. All of these post graduate seminars have allowed him to successfully deal with problem cases, auto injuries, and a large range of health conditions such as fatigue, headaches, neck pain, back pain, digestive disorders, mood disorders, and many other stress related conditions.

Dr. Mitchell looks forward to continuing his practice and serving the people of Tulare County, and wants to be of help to you, your family, and your friends.

Bryce Soares, D.C.

Dr. Soares was born and raised in Tulare. Since high school he has had an interest in anatomy and human performance. This passion developed due to a shoulder injury that developed during baseball his senior year. Thanks to physical therapy, exercise, and chiropractic care he was able to finish playing baseball his senior year.

In 2021 Dr. Soares received his Bachelors of Science degree from California Baptist University in Kinesiology and a focus on sports performance. Following this he attended Palmer West College of Chiropractic. In 2024, he received his Doctorate in Chiropractic degree (D.C).

Dr. Soares has been a member of Tulare Chiropractic since June of 2024. He brings expertise in rehab and extremity management. His approach is focusing on movement patterns to enhance performance, recovery, and health.

During his free time you can see Bryce coaching baseball at Tulare Union, or volunteering with Tulare First Baptist youth programs, and sound team.
